Some part of Celeste isn't expecting Eli to actually run to meet up with him, and yet... there he is. Running down the street. The impulse to hide and make things more difficult is high, but ultimately sticking around in plain sight to watch him wins out.
He'll even offer a bit of a wave when he does make it! Wow!]
You're on time~
[Is he? Maybe. Maybe not. Either way it doesn't really matter.]
[ Run, run, run, run, run, aaaand... here! He's wooon the race! Only it was never a race, and he didn't need to run here. The thing is, he likes running. It made for a good challenge. Even though he's winded enough to lean over and steady himself with his hands against his upper thighs, needing a minute when, usually, he'd hardly even need a breather... ]
Ha, yeah? Am I?
[ Breath caught, he straightens up and gives Celeste a cocky little smirk. ]
I knew I'd make it.
[ He isn't going to check if that's true or not. Shh. ]
[Yeah, bending over to take a breather just puts you at the perfect height for hair-ruffles, Eli. You know. Like a puppy. Because we can't have nice things without being a menace.]
[ Pets!!! Only Eli is not, in fact, actually a dog, and so that earns some ire from him. ]
Hey, I'm not some little kid! [ Don't ruffle his hair?! Hello?! ] Geez, I came here to ask you something serious, at least act like it...
[ Anyway, huffing and puffing aside, he'll pause to look around to ensure no one else from the dorms is lurking nearby. No one he can see, at least. ]
It's just... I don't know how things will shake out when the moon's full. I have a pendant that usually keeps me from changing, but that shit relies on magic, and it ain't got any anymore.
[He is close enough to a dog that he will get pets until he just accepts it's a thing. Then he won't. Such is life.]
Ah, you just looked so excited that you made it~
[But okay, yes, he can be serious.]
And with my powers gone, I can't charm or scare you, should you change... But I am willing to make a plan with you, regardless. What happens when you change?
[ Make him accept pets, then deprive him of them? Why, why are vampires so cruel? ]
Apart from all the fur? A full moon makes anyone with lycanthropy go feral, and in a nasty way, too. I dunno, maybe rabid is a better word for it. It's how the demons spread it fast after infecting the first few since, assuming I do change, I'd start going after people.
[ It is, however, a pretty big if. That's the silver lining here. If everything else about his lycanthropy has been suppressed, maybe that has, too. ]
It shouldn't spread to someone who's already dealing with something else, though. Y'know, like what vampires got.
[It's mostly just Celeste. Depriving Eli of pets just might get him to ask for them, you see, and that'd be worth depriving himself of the frustrated face he made when getting them in the first place.]
And even without most of my own powers, I'd wager I'm still more sturdy than most here.
[You know, considering all the teens and idols.]
Or capable of leading you on a merry chase, at the very least... We ought to consider going to that other world, too, for a while, just in case.
Yeah. You're the safest bet, and you already got an idea of what I am. The others... I just know how normal folks react to this shit.
[ Back home, anyway. Here, he might be surprised, but deep down, the very thought makes him nervous. Who in their right mind walks straight into more rejection when they've already had so much in their life? ]
Hitting up the other world is a good idea, but I need to know, do you think you'd be able to kill me if you had to? If I still managed to be a danger to anyone else?

So, what did you want to talk about?
