[ someone is up with the birds, or maybe he just hasn't slept yet, but here it is just before sunrise and ukyo's found his way onto a random rooftop to take pictures of the dawning sky. he's enthralled in finding just the perfect spot so he's not paying attention to anyone who's still awake at this hour, whether they be on the street below or on the roof with him. ]
Across the street and just a little bit to the left, there's the thud of something heavy hitting the ground. If Ukyo cares to follow the sound, or otherwise just happen to glance in the right direction, he'll see a man dressed in black rubbing his head as she struggles to pull himself off the ground. Following the direction up would show an open window on an upper floor of the building, which slides shut moments after.
[ oh yeah he notices, photographer instinct in him pivoting his lens towards the direction of the sound. is he okay? he almost shouts, but remembers it's very early and also he doesn't really have a booming sort of voice for this.
he decides to wait just a minute to see what the man decides to do, potential photographs of the rising sun forgotten. ]
[ It takes a moment, but Dazai pushes himself to his feet. The grumble that escapes him won't be heard by anyone, but his eyes do move up to the roof where the photographer is stationed. It hadn't escaped his notice. ]
Hey~ No pictures!
[ Ukyo might not have the sort of resounding voice to shout, but Dazai sure does. He adjusts the scarf before shrugging the jacket off and flapping it a couple times.
[ ack! he ducks behind the outer walling of the roof, but he is very tall and also has bright green hair so this does exactly nothing. a second later he pops up, registering the jacket and the beckoning gesture.
...sure he can come over, and here he is a few minutes later after he's scampered down from the roof. his camera is away, lines of his face drawn in concern as he comes into vision. ]
Good morning? Maybe I should have just said morning. But um, are you okay?
[ While he waits Dazai flaps is a few more times like it's a cheap piece of fabric than something few people could afford, not unlike how a child might. He dusts it next and finally seeming satisfied, finally puts it back on and fixes his attire.
A comment on it not being the heightest building he's fallen from is on the tip of his tongue, but he bites it back. ]
Good morning, [ He says with a soft, amused exhale, a barely noticeable smile appearing. It doesn't reach his eyes, as empty as a black hole. He adjusts his scarf again, dusts his pants off once more despite not needing to, ] I'm fine. I don't want to find myself mentioned in the morning paper over a little tumble though... My new acquaintance decided she no longer wanted my company...
Ah... No, my roommate hasn't caused me any trouble yet. I don't think they're the violent sort.
[ He slips his jacket back on, moving to dusting off his clothes... These are nice too. ]
You see, I met with one of the locals, and we seemed to be hitting it off well, but it turned sour at the end... I told them that I've never fallen from this height before, and they took it as an opportunity to help me with that.
[ These things happen. ]
I thought it might kill me, or at least break a few limbs. I'm disappointed.
[ ukyo looks up at the window briefly, gauging the height from the ground. ]
No, if you really wanted to make a fall like that lethal, it should have been done from the roof at least. But there's things you could land on, so you'd need to pay attention to where you jump, and the way you fall obviously matters too. As for broken bones, I think just going up a floor or two would probably net you a fracture unless you're really lucky.
he's quite obviously lost in his Thoughts, considering what else Dazai said until one of them really registers for him. ]
Hitting it off—o-oh, sorry about your date! [ blushing and looking away! ] But you probably shouldn't date someone that will push you out a window so easily!
[ his self-esteem might not be the greatest, but he’s not afraid to knock on a door and have it be angrily shut in his face. he’s worked customer service before. ]
Many thanks. I’ve been reading about idols, and it seems like they always have a crowd. It would be good for the people participating if we could give them that.

Though you're not with the press, are you?
[ So he's worrying about nothing. ]

[ not with the press! but maybe with national geographic. ]
Your roommate kicked you out?

I was thinking of stocking up water. I don't need you to carry those, I can do that on my own.
Can you help invite people? Back home, one of the jobs I had was to give out fliers. Do you think that would work?
no subject
Why ask then?
Yes. That should work... There are businesses in the area that have advertisement boards as well.

They do. They'll lose heart if they don't, so we need to work hard to ensure that doesn't happen.
I don't mind crowds, but I don't know that I could handle a full audience in the way that they do. It's impressive, don't you think?
no subject
The crowds are unbelievably huge. Until I moved to the city, I didn’t know so many people could come together at one spot.
But even the ones in Misaki City seems small in comparison to some of the pictures I saw. I think I’d faint.
I wonder, why do so many people get together for this? Does it make them happier?
