That's just the story of our lives in this town, isn't it?

[ McGillis would absolutely have hidden his own death if he hadn't arrived covered in blood and having a breakdown. That was... conspicuous.

And after starting off on that note, more and more honesty just kept snowballing from it... ]

It's almost as though starting on a lie makes a true bond difficult, no?

[Or at least that's the logic he's assuming that Braphine was running on when she made it difficult to hide the more unsavory parts of themselves.]

[ He's still really annoyed at Braphine for this whole thing though. It shows in his frown. ]

[She's certainly not getting a pass on this whole ordeal... but even he has to admit there were a few pleasant side effects to being pulled into this mess.

Now it's just a matter of getting out of it with them intact.]
