[ Rutile twists around to grab his quill and his sketchbook, and he brings his feet up onto the chair to curl up with the sketchbook up against his lap. The tip of the quill moves furiously as he starts drawing. He doesn't look up from the page, but the red on his face is very visible. ]
Mm... I guess. But, I don't know...
[ He knows Mithra's primary thought is to keep him safe because of his promise. If there's anything more, isn't it because he reminds him of his mother?

I'm pretty happy with where we are... [ Could he take more? He isn't sure.
He smiles at his finished picture, and turns his sketchbook around to show Aerith. ]
[ Rutile thinks for a second, and then turns his sketchbook back around. His quill begins to fly across the page again, but slower, more measured this time.
Dunno. Probably go back to my world, and then go to hers if we're lucky. I'd like to stay together, but sometimes things don't always work out that way.
[ Part of him hadn't considered that. He knew they would be going back home once they were finished, of course, but he didn't think about those who had decided to enter relationships when they got here. ]

But I still think it's lovely that you've found each other here, across the boundaries of realities and worlds. That despite where you come from, or whatever fate has in store for you, that you've chosen to love each other. And for that, I hope things do work out.
[ He sets a marker down, and smiles.
He looks at his picture with a fondness in his eyes, and then turns it around. And when he sets the sketchpad on his knee to show her, that's when his truth is revealed: Rutile is an incredibly skilled artist, with the anatomy and colors almost lifelike. He just chooses to draw like...that. ]
Ta-da~ [ He says it quietly, almost bashful, like he's afraid to be too proud of showing off another person (that isn't his brother). ] My...
[ He pauses here, because at this point, still, he doesn't know what their relationship is. They're bound together by his mother, but he knows Mithra does not see him like his mother, as his mother, even when he's a woman. He knows Mithra cares for him, but how far beyond the promise he doesn't know. He doesn't know, and yet by the way his heart beats in his chest, how he feels when he thinks about him and looks at him, he decides... ]
[ She leans forward so she can get a better look at this drawing. It's so much better than the other one, but of course she doesn't say as much. ]
Wow... he's super handsome. What a catch!
[ Maybe she'd say something else if she knew about the fact that he eats rocks but... you know. ]
Just like your Mithra... my Maika and I will be fine in the end. Our hearts are always gonna be intertwined no matter what. In the end... I'm just happy I was able to find someone I really care about.
[ That she was able to move on from her first love, at least in a sense. Her heart will continue to beat for Maika, now that it's found her.
