[It's been some time since Argenti's palace and it's remained busy since, because the God of Conflict kept trying to torment them with something or other, whether it was dreamscapes or nightmares or something else. But you know what? All of that still not enough to change who Aaron is, which means he's still a hyper-competitive asshole.

Even if he had been talking to Argenti's Shadow, he was still quite serious about besting him at the ocarina, so he'd actually bought one so he could practice on it. And after a few weeks, he's apparently a master at it (thanks avrae???????) and he's ready to issue a challenge to Argenti.
